Kristie Shields is Executive Vice President and Chief Compliance Counsel of Mechanics Bank. An attorney and banking veteran, Ms. Shields has more than 35 years of experience involving small bank start-ups, mergers and acquisitions, multi-state compliance practices, and indirect auto lending. She joined the Bank as Chief Compliance Counsel and Risk Officer in 2016 through a merger with California Republic Bank. A member of the California State Bar, she graduated cum laude from the University of California at Irvine and received her J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles.
